The Horizon® 20.25 offers integrated products for the separation of nucleic acids in agarose gel electrophoresis. The system consists of three primary components that are supplemented by a complete selection of accessories and replacement parts. The three primary components are the electrophoresis apparatus, the external gel casting system (allows to cast gels while the elctrophoresis unit is being used or to cast multiple gels in advance) and the blot transfer system for capillary blotting.
Horizon® 20.25 has a compact size and offers a gel size of 20 x 25 cm. The UV transparent gel tray (UVT tray) combined with the buffer recirculation option and a wide variety of different combs offer a diversified range of application.
The Horizon® 20.25 Gel Casting System is a stand-alone system for casting 20 x 25 cm agarose gels that can range in thickness from 3 to 10 mm.
The Blot Transfer Apparatus 20.25 is designed for consistent capillary transfer of 20 x 25 cm gels and makes the system complete.
Patented drop-in casting dams allow gel to be cast in place without the use of tape.
Red visualisation strips aid in sample loading.
The safety interlock lid prevents an electrical connection from being made until the lid is properly in place.
